I HAVE A PRETTY GOOD AMOUNT OF HAIR ON MY HEAD STILL, BUT I ALSO DO HAVE ALOT ALOT OF BALD SPOTS. THE BACK OF MY NECK BY MY NECK IS COMPLETELY GONE. THANK GOD THE HAIR THAT I HAVE IS ENOUGH TO COVER IT. I HAVE HAD MANY FAMILY MEMBERS AND DOCTOR'S THAT I WORK WITH TELL ME TO SHAVE MY HEAD AND SEE IF MY HAIR GROWS BACK FULLER... NOT ONLY WILL MY HAIR GROW BACK FULLER BUT MY DERMATOLOGIST WILL BE ABLE TO INJECT THE BALD SPOTS BETTER.....

I AM ALL FOR IT, BUT THERE'S ONE THING HOLDING ME BACK. MY BOYFRIEND IS NOT SUPPORTIVE OF THE IDEA. I FEEL THAT HE WILL THINK LESS OF ME AND FIND ME LESS ATTRACTIVE IF I DO SHAVE MY HEAD. I HAVE GAINED ALOT OF WEIGHT SICNE HAVING MY SON ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO AND I AM ALREADY DEALING WITH FEELING UNATTRACTIVE, SO TO ADD BALDNESS TO THAT IS KILLING ME.

BUT I DO BELIEVE THAT SHAVING MY HEAD IS SOMETHING I WILL BENEFIT FROM. I ALSO HAVE A FEW BALD SPOTS ON THE TOP AND FRONT OF MY HEAD WHERE THEY ARE VERY NOTICEABLE SO I FIGUERED THAT SHAVING IT WILL HELP THAT AS WELL....

I HONESTLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO.... YOU WOULD FIGUERE THAT HAVING THIS BIG SUPPORT GROUP (FAMILY & FRIENDS) I AM ONLY WORRIED ABOUT WHAT MY BOYFRIEND WOULD THINK.....

I understand you are nervous what your boyfriend will think, but you need to do what is mentally right for you. Do you plan on getting a wig or wear a scarf? Wearing a wig may help him deal with you shaving. BUt make sure what you do, you do for yourself.

Dont you think that if you are happier, especially not worrying about the bald areas and the hair loss, that will not radiate from inside of you??? Hence making you feel more attractive??? Remember beauty comes from within not the outside.
This is not only a big decision but a personal one. Only you will know when its right. I say this because I listened to my mom for months suggesting the maybe shaving will help elevate the stress of the loss. She even came into town for a visit thinking that we could do it together (yes, she was going to shave aswell) But you know what happened??? I decided to shave after she left, after I wore a wig all day for the first time. LOL. And since that day I have felt tons better, I still have my days mind you.
Talk to your boyfriend, express you thoughts and believe in yourself.
Stay strong and take care

THANKS EVERYONE. I DO HAVE A COUPLE OF WIGS THAT I AM PLANNING ON WEARING. I ALSO WOULD BE WEARING SCARFS. I HAVE ALOT MORE BALD SPOTS THAN HAIR BUT FOR SOME REASON MY HAIR IS ABLE TO COVER MOST OF MY BALD SPOTS. IT'S JUST SOME DAYS I WAKE UP AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH MY HAIR AND I JUST THROW A WIG ON. THEY LOOK VERY NICE BY THE WAY & I ENJOY WEARING THEM.

THIS IS A VERY HARD DECISIOSN AND LIKE YOU SAID A PERSONAL ONE SO I WILL HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT VERY HARD AND SIT HIM DOWN AND EXPLAIN TO HIM WHY I REALLY WANT TO DO THIS.

THANKS AGAIN FOR THE ADVICE GIRLS.
