Today was the day i decided to shave my head. It's also the day my boyfriend broke up with me.. not for that reason, but it still matters, i dont know if my alopecia has anything to do with why he broke up with me or not but its all the same. everything just feels hopeless

*hugs* hang in there! Break ups are hard, I know, I've recently had a rocky ride in my relationship (or lack thereof). My boyfriend and I broke up, got back together and now are probably breaking up again. Well, it's really bad timing, but I take it as a sign of obstacles clearing in my life so I can deal with things easier and now only have to worry about myself, at a time when I need to be number one. But, I think the thing that sucks the most about it is that it would be really nice right now to have someone there for me, who is close and has my back...

That's just it right, I feel hopeless now, I need him more than ever and he is being selfish and putting his career ahead of everything, its important to him which I understand and I'm being supportive but he can't balance a relationship and a career so he ends it with me when I need him the most, he's been here since day 1 of this hair stuff and now I feel like how am I ever going to find someone who understand

You will. Don't keep yourself away from the mystery person who is out there for you. Hint: They are right when they say that it is when you stop looking that the right one shows up. It must be the No-More-Debby-Downer giving way to a confident, UNneedy walk and smile, eh?

Hair or no hair, many guys leave right before a gift-giving, party-laden, commitment-broadcasting holiday. Just sayin'...cluck cluck cluck??

Could it be you lost the fun girl in you that your guy was first attracted to? Might he see your not wanting him to focus on his career as YOUR being selfish? Think of each point of view. You can only be you, and he can only be him. If he's not the one to give you the attention you need, find the one who is.

The only people we attract when we feel badly about ourselves is (usually) predators. When you regain confidence and feel better, you'll find the guy for you.
