Well I haven't posted for a while.

Good news:

The patch on the back of my head has grown back pretty well - hair is quite short and thin still but its better than the glaring white patch of head that was there before, easier to hide now.

I went for my fitting at another wig salon through the NHS (so I'm paying £158 instead of the £400 I paid for the first piece) and got all measurements taken etc but it won't be ready until end of October probably (after my birthday :'( )

Bad News:

Just brushing my hair at the gym, found a small patch starting at the front of my hairline on my parting side. Its only the size of my thumb print at the mo but its noticeable to me. It probably isn't helped by the fact I dye my hair dark brown (and have done since I was about 15) but its definately starting :( Just as I feel like I'm making some progress I get another set back.

I still have 2 patches on my head with no regrowth as yet.

I'm worried it could be the clips on my hairpiece as the places seem to match up, but I cant avoid that because I can't not wear it, so it seems a bit of a vicious circle. When I get my new one I'm going to get the clips in a different place.

Hey Rachel - Getting clips in multiple places will help with general thinning. You can choose which clips you want to use which will relieve pressure. I have a friend who wears wigs for religious reasons and had the same thing happen - after choosing not to clip that particular clip the spot began growing back. I think if it's not an alopecia spot you will see regrowth after you stop using those clips.
