Have you ever felt like you were ahead of the game and were waiting for everyone around you to catch up??? I'm still waiting to hear if I got that sales position - they had to run it through all the monkeys running the show too! I'm organizing a camp for Canadians with alopecia this summer and before I can even think about getting registration forms written up, I'm waiting for the campground to send my information package. I've done just about everything I can do with everything and I'm waiting ... maybe it's just a Guelph thing? I'm not originally from around here and I still think people around here are different (even though I've been here for 8 years now).
I suppose what makes waiting worse is when you're as impatient and excited as I am. About my job and about camp! The camp will be amazing and people are already lining up to help with the event, but I still need more so don't stop contacting me LOL. We have so many fun things planned for this camp too, not full of lectures and discussions. Although those are fine and helpful, I like to take a different approach; have fun, make connections and feel free to be yourself around other people with alopecia. One thing I've learned over the years is that everyone's story is a little different so if you're free to have fun and mingle then you're bound to find someone with a similar story that may be a few years ahead of you and able to offer great advice on coping or cosmetic issues - whatever you're into. Alopecians helping alopecians! My head is just running with ideas non stop and I don't wanna keep waiting. Deep breaths for now and something to keep me busy in the meantime should do the trick!!!
