I've never read any alopecia specific books before, that is until I got my copy of "Metamorphosis" by Julia Crittendon. Of course my portion of the book was excellent LOL But seriously, it was one of those things I could have writen a hundred times over and never been completely satisfied with. It was wonderful to hear about everyone's battle and recovery, if you will, over alopecia. It is a very inspiring and motivational book and I encourage anyone with alopecia to give it a gander. I found it very interesting that nearly every story spoke of shaving their heads in order to get over losing their hair. It's kind of like an alopecian rite of passage thing. I'm looking at this poor book now though and although it's not even a week old it's wearing LOL I'm just so happy about being part of it that I've been showing it off to everyone I know. I'm thinking I may need to buy a second copy to keep as a souvenir and have the other to keep sharing. On the upside it has really given me the opportunity to share alopecia facts with friends and coworkers. It was so easy for them to ask about it when I was shoving an alopecia book in their face haha. Unfortunately the story I wrote for this book was severely shortened and I feel that sometime I will have to write something a little more thorough for my own book (one day ...). It's hard to cram 30 years into 3 pages (with pictures too).
