What to wear on my bald head for labor/ delivery?

I have AU and think I'd be happier/ more comfortable bald during the labor/ delivery. But I don't want all my pictures with me bald... I was thinking some type of head covering- but something not too obviously (bald underneath) for the posterity of my photos! Any suggestions? I think I will bring my wig to wear home from the hospital. But I do want to get some pics shortly after the birth and want to look ok.

Thanks,
Lisa

I highly recommend the "Buff". It's comfortable and comes in an array of colours and is quite cute on. I think the website is www.buff.com??? I love mine! All the best to you and your upcoming little one.

I've often wondered this too. It does seem like a good idea to bring the wig with you for the photos, then just wear a colorful "matchy" bandana in boy/girl color, if you already know the sex of your baby.

This question also comes up for doctor appointments. . .

Thanks, ladies. This is my third child, but first with AU. It's really about the "forever" photos- I want to look back at them and like them... as I again plan to do labor drug-free, I want to be comfortable. I already have some of those head coverings mentioned, so maybe I will keep them close by to put on after snuggling with my new baby. And wear the wig when we leave hospital. Who knows- it may be cold, so I will want to wear during laboring... we'll see!

I went to the hospital in my wig--(I had a a long hospital stay prior because of complications) when it was actually time for labor/delivery, I went with out. I have areata so I had some hair but most was missing. At that point I didn't care at all. I have several pictures of me with out that I have to keep for my daughter then I have plenty that I shared with friends and family of either just my daughter in my arms or with my wig on.

Just be flexible in your options because trust me at some point you wont even remember what you chose when you are in the midst of labor.
