Ok, so It has been one month since I discovered my bald patch and found two more there after very quickly..I have used CLOBETASOL for 14 days and stopped for a few, but within the time of stopping my hair would fall out in clumps..I started to use it again, but I noticed my head is red and itchy and will not give..Why is my bald spots red and itchy? I see some correlation between my head being red and itchy and my hair coming out in clumps..When will it stop being red and itchy? I think if it were to stop being red and itchy than my hair would grow back..As of right now knock on wood thank god I am not losing any other hair, but in those spots...Trying to hang in there...Sorry needed to vent..

You know this is the best place to come and vent...It is so hard to deal with isn't it at times. I found my first bald spot in April 2008 and Oh I still remember the emotions tied into that first patch.....There is all the uncertainty... Will this be it or will it all fall out? You just got to hang in there and vent when you need to vent! We all have days where you need to do that. I had a little vent session about a week ago before I decided to shave my head....That is what Alopecia is all about the ups and the downs. I can guarantee you that you will get through it. This is a great site to be on.... It has helped me through a lot......

Yeah, Trish, the unpredictability is tough. Odds are you're right, the red and itchy bits are showing your body's immune system fighting your hair. Clobetasol is designed to calm down our immune responses safely. I hope it works really well for you. Meantime, vent away!
