I have a wig in a box. I'm afraid to open it. I shaved my head to about 1/4 inch. I'm afraid to shave the rest. It's so weird. The hair I shaved was long and beautiful. There just wasn't much of it. I find myself fascinated by how pretty it was when I look at it. I'd forgotten during all my angst. Perhaps it will grow back. As a young teen/adult, I always wanted to have edgy hairstyles--now I've got one! I should just go all the way and shave the rest off. I have really dark hair, so it's still really obvious where I still have hair and where I don't. I really don't feel too bad. Hmmm.... To be continued....

open it! Don't be afraid! :) Anyways, I just shaved my head, it's not clean shaven and I can still see the dark areas but I'm fine with it because I wear wigs and hats out anyways.

Again, another one that is so brave to shave (hey that's a rhyme!). I am so proud of you gals that chose to do this, you are such an inspiration to me!
Kelly - open the box! You've already taken such a monumental step, you can do this!

I'm right there with you. Recently cut my hair down to an inch and am thinking i should cut it more since it just looks award having bald and then inch long hair. Also bought a wig about 3 or 4 weeks ago after wearing hats and hairpieces. I know it's hard and a weird transition but I feel so much better now that I'm wearing a wig, I even decided to name mine to help with the awkwardness of it. You can do it :) (also, if you have a hair line i suggest keeping it, it helps the wig blend in and look less awkward)
