Do anyone know of a cure for alopecia? I have heard that some medicines can reverse alopecia, but so many on the market and I wonder do they work. I also heard that vagina yeast cream have grew peoples hair back I never tried it but I am going to. I guess when you are desperate you try anything.
Thank you Aimee for your advice. Can I buy steroid creams over the counter? and do I need a prescription for Xeljanz ?
Xeljanz is still in the trial periods so it is very hard to get. However the trials so far and the individuals who are on it are showing successful signs. I think it is dependant where you live as some doctors may prescribe it and monitor you severely as it can cause some side effects. I sadly live in the UK where it is not currently available.
The problem with Xeljanz is this: This is a drug for treating Rheumatoid Arthritis which is an auto-immune disease like Alopecia. When you take these types of drugs, you are basically shutting down your immune system which allows you to become vulnerable to other things, such as cancer related problems. Xeljanz is only a treatment and not a cure!!!! I looked into this as well, talked at length with dermatologists and other Doctors and I decided that being bald is better than being diagnosed with cancer.
Yes, helen30, you need a prescription for steroid creams, at least in the US. There are side effects from using those, too, such as thinning of the skin. I have alopecia areata as well as cicatricial alopecia, and when I was diagnosed I was given cortisone shots and topical steroid creams. Nothing worked for me, it just irritated my skin, and I had some indents in my head from the shots that seem to have filled back in over the years.
But the shots and the creams to help some people. Unfortunately I wasn't one of them.
Same time last year I made a skin balm out of rice bran oil, shea butter, bees wax, macadamia nut oil, fragrance and a lot of good intentions. I gave some to friends who used in on their hands and rough skin like their elbows. A lady friend who was applying it on her face told me that she grew a mustache. January this year I started to apply it on my head.
This is a picture of my hairline taken last August 24 when I first received my Celestron microscope. I am now running out of empty spaces.
I would like to give away samples free of charge to 5 individuals who would like to try it. I will send two jars which is enough for 8 months use. Send me your name, complete adress and phone number for shipping with tracking. Shipping alone will cost me at leat $20 but I will not charge you for anything. Cheers!
How about just posting the recipe? Otherwise this sounds like spam for some snake oil.
Hi Keith, It is all vegatble oil based. Again the ingredients are: rice bran oil, shea butter, bees wax, macadamia nut oil, fragrance and a lot of good intentions. No pork or animal fat. Cheers!
