yea... i LOVE my job, and the best perk... ALL THE coffee/tea/ frappucinos that i can drink when I'm working! it's ridiculous!

Oh Jenn, are you feeling any better? I just read your blog and I completely understand. That's my pic with hair as well. It's been slowly falling out for months but for the last few weeks, it has been falling out ferociously. I actually had a wig fitting this morning which went horribly...the synthetic wigs were just so obvious and the human hair wigs did not fit right. At this point I don't know what to do...well maybe just stay in bed forever.

I know how hard it is! I have had alopecia for about 30 years. After I became the spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, a lot of women were needing my help and support, so I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" You will be fine sooner than you think. Once you have acceptance you can get on with your life. Everyone has a problem to start with and then they find that they just have to live their life and enjoy it.

It really is horrible when you first discover you have Alopecia and the time when it is all falling out is awful. You will accept the condition after a while and you will then feel better.

You definitely did the right thing by shaving the rest of your hair off. When I did it, it was the most liberating experience imaginable.

Sorry I didn't post sooner. I just joined this site yesterday. SO I am also a newbie :)!! I also wanted to acknowledge that YOU ARE NOT ALONE in your feelings!! I am having a terrible time dealing with this AGAIN!! I lost my hair, grew it all back and now I am losing it AGAIN!! I honestly don't know which time is/was worse!! I have much in my life to be thankful for ... but right now, with every hair that falls out, I just die a little inside! Yes, I KNOW I am alienating myself by choice!! But, I feel SO heartbroken!!

However, if I can help you, it HELPS me!! I have a HUGE network of women through my BeautiControl business and I would LOVE to help you find someone dealing with AA in your area that can help you with your wig and makeup, skincare and STRESS!!
