Lori, That's what I loved about the clippers as well. It hasn't been too cold where I live, but I've been walking indoors without hats since I first shaved my head. I just wear hats outside. Hopefully, you'll get used to the cold soon. :)

Sorry to hear what you have gone through. We all see things differently in hindsight don't we.
As far as shaving your head. Have you thought about wearing a wig? Also there are women on this site who go out into the world bald and feel empowered doing so. Reading about them I think how amazing and strong they are.
If you write a blog or discussion asking other members for advice as far as wigs you will get plenty of responses. Comment/ask about anything and you will get a response. Or read previous discussions on wigs etc.
There are a swag of groups on this site you can join and add comments or discussions to as well.
