Hey Erin. Welcome. My profile picture is of me before I developed Alopecia. But my wedding pictures have my current wig. I am still new to the whole wigs process and have not been happy with either of my wigs. But if you need anything I am here!
Thankyou very much! I feel it makes you stronger as a person. But you have to get on with it even when its hard. But its good having this site to talk to someone who knows how you are feeling!

Hi Erin,
Thank you for your kind comments. Alopecia World has been great to us. I know you will like it as much as we do. How long have you had alopecia?
Tracy
Hello and welcome, Erin!
I know how hard alopecia can be; I have had it for about 30 years. Let me know if you need help or support. One thing that you might be interested in is my book, written for women, called "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" (It just won two national awards!) It has a lot of good info in it, it can answer many questions, and it's a fun read, too. You can find out more on my page. It's available on Amazon.com, and on this site under "Bookshelf."
Let me know if there's anything else I can do! I am here to help.

Hello Erin,....
nice of you to say hi. Hhat type of alopecia have you got?. To be honest, I'm abit confused with all the different ones....are there types that are treatable..I suppose by that i mean curable.....
I was only told the results of my biopsy by telephone last monday, that i have scarring hairloss- Fibrosing alopecia. The sister who phoned me from the hospital said she's not allowed to say anymore until i see my dermatologist in a couple of weeks.........I've been just left hanging. I'm devastated!......
Hi Erin,
I too am going back to school and am excited about it as well. I hope you are doing okay. This is a great site for support and friendships.
