Hey Debbi- It's Amy I met you today and plan to come in soon for a wig. Since I left you this morning I have gone through the range of emotions. Now, I can hardly wait to shave my head and come see you again :) My mind is still racing but I'm excited.

It will be one year on August 11th. My husband is an electrician apprentice. He is really amazing and makes me feel beautiful. We went to the beach last weekend and for the first time in the 27 years that I have had alopecia I went on the beach with no hair, just a hat. It was scary, but great that he so supported me.

You know, the whole reason my mom became a state representative was so that she could try to raise awaireness about alopecia in Delaware. Then I gues she started thinking about how expensive it is to get full scalp protheses and how insurance companies don't cover it in Delaware. So she made a bill mandating insurance companies to pay 500 dollars for full scalp protheses. In June, I think, Kayla Martell(Ms. Georgiatown) and I went to speak on behalf of the bill. It got out of the committe and then when it went through the house and the senate we didn't get to speak for it(because we missed it)! So then on tuesday the bill was going to the governer to get signed so my mom took me and invited two other people Alopecia!(Kayla Martell and a boy named Mattew.) It was really neat because the governer had a podium and everything set up in her office!

Hi Debbie, I just joined Alopecia world. It is very lonely in my world, with no alopecia friends. I am doing great....still miss my hair, but love my wig....I had to send it back for a few repairs, but when I got it back and had it restyled, I found no one could cut it the way Candi could.....I had it cut in a shorter style which I really like, but will someday order another longer one.
I would love to get down your way to see you again.....my husbands sister just moved to North Carolina, so if we drive down sometime to see her, I will give you a shout and maybe we can stop by and take you out to dinner....
