Hi Wendy,
Your husband has great taste!!!! I love my tattoos also and it was the absolute best thing I ever did!! Everyone asks if it hurt and my answer to them is...."It hurt a lot less than being a woman and losing all your hair!!!" So, I think you should do whatever you are comfortable with, but tell your husband thank you from me :-)
Love and Hugs,
Dotty
Welcome to International Alopecia Day!!! We are very excited to have you here and hope you are able to join forces with everyone to make this event a success and one that will carry on year after year.
Hi Wendy, thanks for joining the group! We are in the Chicagoland area and would welcome you anytime you are here. We are all planning on going to the NAAF conference in June in Indy. Are you going?
Hi Wendy!!!! Thank you for the add! :) Wow....sounds like we are almost neighbors then! I think we are around mile marker 25 or something like that....don't quote me on that! How are you?
Hey Wendy...not a whole lot going on in Nashville for me...just working and trying to survive this economy. I hope you're doing alright...it's good to hear from you. Have an awesome weekend!
Hi Wendy, it was nice to get your comment. I am seeing a dermatologist in Nashville that has been a true blessing to me. So far after 4 injections ( 1 every 6 weeks) I have almost full growth. He has told me not to get my hopes up to high because after we stop the injections I could lose it all again and I am only allowed 6 injections but I am putting my faith in him and in prayer. I am come to the realization that there are a lot of worse things in life I could lose besides my hair. It is funny how at the beginning of this journey I thought that this was the most tragic thing that could happen and now it's like "oh well whatever". Yes my daughter does play for West Carroll. We were at the game Thursday night. Do you know Coach Greer? He has been at W.C. for about 4 or 5 years now and my daughter and his are good friends. We are president of the booster club so we have a very close relationship with the Greers. Is that your daughter in the picture above? She looks familiar. Does she play basketball? Oh well I have chatted long enough and I need to get ready for church. I will check with you later. Have a blessed day.
Wow Wendy it is nice to find someone that is so close. I have been trying to find others in the West Tennessee area to see if there was any kind of support group. Your auto immune disease sounds really different. I looked up the disease and it sounds like you are having a really tough time. Are you seeing a local doctor? My daughter also has an auto immune disease. She is 17 and she has lupus. She was diagnosed when she was 13. She really doesn't have a lot of problems with it as long as she gets her rest which is tough because she is so active. I have to stay on her pretty hard but she does pretty good until basketball season. She is an athlete. I am so glad that you found me and I look forward to getting to know you.

Thanks for the add! How are you? Curious- how did a Tennessee girl become a steeler fan?
Hope you had a great weekend!
Heather

How interesting. Will your hair grow back, or do you know?
I've been bald for about 20 years.
