Relationship Status: Married

About Me: I've had AU for almost 9 years and until I got it I had never heard of the disease. Most people are shocked to learn I wear a wig/eyelashes/brows, etc. and are very curious and accepting of the disease. I think the more people that hear about it the better.

I've been dealing with this by making myself over inside and out. I decided I need to bring alopecia to the forefront and promote awareness as much as I can. I've been active in a local support group and trying to get new people to join. I decided to tattoo my head. I know everyone thinks I'm crazy but I wanted people to see that even though I'm bald I might as well have fun with it. I have a big beautiful canvas to work with so I might as well take advantage. During the day for work I just cover it up so it's the perfect spot since I work in the corporate world!
