Oh my gosh. I just saw your message, a month too late. I am booking my flight tomorrow. I couldn't go on my bonus ticket because lack of seats, so I think I will fly out on the red eye June 18th. Did you book yours already? Hope to hear from you.
Hey, has anyone ever played around with that Magnetic Poetry...you know, the stuff you put on your fridge and use words to make prose? Thought it might be fun to have people post poems they have come up with. Whats neat is that you are working with a limited number of words, etc. So it is a bit challenging. Haiku is fun too. Maybe a Haiku contest? I thought of this after I came up with what I thought was a pretty good poem related to my alopecia. Here goes:
Watch rain storm pounding above
It plays the music of a misty symphony
Beating fast and frantic on my car
Beneath it, I stop the urge to moan and cry
From love crushed then gone away
Sing and sadly chant when life is most bitter
Ache for one who can love all of me in my bare beauty
