Plus I think it is a bonding moment between a couple. I guess because we are so vulnerable. I know what you mean about the velcro... Sometimes I swear it is a good thing that I don't grow a lot of hair. Because where I do grow... it grows fast! Like my underarms! argh! LOL!

Hi Donna, thanks for adding me as a friend! I love the paragraph you have at the top of the page about your hair being an old friend. It sure was! People - who don't understand - say, it's only hair. But it's not - each time it said good bye, I felt like I was losing an arm! But like it says, we do go on and really at this point, it's hard for me to believe I ever had hair. Fortunately I have all those times as a teenager that I remember screaming and crying and banging my brush on the bathroom countertop because my (real) hair wouldn't do what I wanted!! ( I really did that, how silly). Delete Comment

I'd gone to the lancome make up counter at macy's and the gal thought it would be fun to draw them in for me. She was really nice. I had to take a pic to commemorate the moment. I've never had them. I had steroid injections a few months ago in them and they grew but they are now falling out again. I figure it wasn't meant to be. I've also never had body hair which I've never missed. It's actually ironic to me that people now pay money for electrolysis to have baby smooth skin like mine. The only hair I really care about is the hair on my head. I don't know what I would do if I lost it all. I truly admire you.

We live in Massachusetts. I purchased Samantha a Amy Gibson wig in Dec and this is her one and only wig. You can only get it at an authorized dealer and she has several other types of wigs and the hair is stunning. I went to CT to get it and we really like working with the owner of the shop. I measured her head and at home and it was big enough for Amy's child sized wig. It is cyberhair and she can swim in a pool, beach and sleep in it as well. We tape it on and we have never had an issue with it falling off. The cap is kind of a nylon cap and super light weight. Samantha wears it everyday for about 8-9 hrs. When she is home with me she sometimes wears a headscarf with hair sewen into it. I recently purchased a new one that she loves even more. It has human hair sewn into it. This company also makes other kinds of hats with hair and even a cap with hair that allows you to put your own head covering on. She will likely be wearing this most of the summer since a wig maybe too hot for her to wear outdoors all day long. Where abouts are you? Samantha lost her hair pretty quick once it got active. She is now being treated at Boston Children's Hospital and the results of regrowth are promising. She currently has no lashes and brows now. The rest fell out very recently. It is hard to watch.

Thanks for the compliment Donna. We are very lucky that Samantha has not developed any self-esteem issues and has rather embraced her AA for what it is...Again you look fabulous. Samantha wears a wig too..It is the hair cut with bangs...Is your hair, human hair? I would love to see the website you ordered from..I am just researching our next purchase if her treatment fails to work by the start of the new school year..Cindy
