Welcome to The International Alopecia Day Group, George! It would be WONDERFUL to have a photo or photos from Newfoundland and Labrador!

I love your photographs - really beautiful work! Do you have a website where they're posted so I can share with photographer friends?

Best,
Mary

Happy belated birthday! Saw in your discussion in the newly diagnosed group your age "plus a few days" so assumed you just had a birthday. So happy birthday! LOL.

Hi George! We're not really sure about when my Alopecia first started. I am hoping to contribute to a book that is being written by an AlopeciaWorld member and through my research a dialogue with my parents they've shed some more light on my situation. Apparently I had no hair at all until I was 2 or 2 1/2yrs old. No one had formerly diagnosed me with anything and my parents just waited it out. Much to their surprise my hair did finally start grow and it was bright red orange (no one rally has that colour in my family). I seemed ot have a normally head of hair until I was 8 and then patches started falling out, it went from AA, to AT then it came back about 90% then in my teens it all fell out and I've been silky smooth ever since! :-)

Yes I'm an out doorsy type of gal, but have to admit my stamina for long distances is pretty poor. I've been working on my cardio so who knows! I really can't imagine running on pavement - ouch, shin splints!!! Maybe cross country on soft ground would be more my speed.

And yes Porties Rock! Great for the hypoallergenic, low/no shedding features, perfect for allergy prone people like us!

Its great to "meet" you! Study hard!!!

Hi George
Welcome to alopecia world. You don't happen to live in Guelph, Ontario do you?? We have an awesome vet. program at our university, lots of running clubs and one of Canada's best recycling systems. Just curious?
