I'm 29 and have had Alopecia for about a year and a half. It has taken about that long to really understand it and accept it. About three months ago I discovered my second bald spot and thankfully it didn't affect me the same way the first one did. I recently decided to deal with it and reach out for support and give support! I recently moved to Seattle, WA from Michigan. Lemme tell you...what a diferrence, but in a good way. I'm in a great relationship with a very understanding & caring person who has helped me through a lot!!! He got a great job opportunity here in Seattle, and so we moved together. So far it's been great.

Oh I do know where your coming from, this is the seconde time my hair has fallen out. I still feel ashamed and embarrased even though I can't control any of this situation.
So have you lost much? Have you gotten any treatments for the spots. I had been getting injections for almost a year and it helped me all of my hair great back and I had lost about 50% of it now it's falling out again. Yikes! What's a girl to do?
well big huggs to you and i'm here for you any time.
Hi Candance! Hmmm...my only advice would be to definitely get one!! It looks like you have dark hair, so you shouldn't have any problems at all. Getting the right shade of blonde hair is pretty much the only big hassle I've had...and even then I think that's just me...I'm SUPER picky!! I don't do bangs, and just have them cute little "whispies" around the hairline to give it a more natural look.
Good luck, and let me know if you have any more specific questions!

Hi Candace,
Hey, you and I will be neighbors -- I live in Portland. You certainly have a wonderful attitude about alopecia! And a wonderful guy, too. I just wanted to say hello --
