My AA started when I was 24.
It was my birthday and I went to the hairdresser. While she was doing her job with my long curly hair she noticed 2 small circular shaped bald spots at the back of my head.
the loss of my hair went really fast but not totally.
the last year my hair grew up again ant I took my wig away ...... BUT 3 weeks ago it came back, the thing that really made me very sad ...
I just surffed the net and found myself here. I hope I can find the support I need to reaccept the new mysalf.

today was my first day to go out without my wig
Although I do have lots of these small/ big bald spots every where on my head I decided to go without my wig.
I wanted to be me.
I was really afraid, because I hate it when people look at me with those eyes that are full of pity and mercy.

I love your attitude, I agree if people don't like my lovely head it is their problem!
Do you know of any alopecia support groups in Israel? I am going to a conference in July in Jerusalem and would like to meet others whilst in the country. Will also be in Tel Aviv.
Here in London I have set up a support network for those that are Jewish with Alopecia.
