I am 50 years old. I lost all of my hair at age 16 after the birth of my first daughter. Then about 2 years ago I started losing my hair again, I would say I have about a 75% hair loss with only the patch on top being left. I can cover most of the bald places but will have to made a decision about a wig pretty soon. I live in Alaska and am looking for a support group or even someone in Alaska I can communicate with.
Are you age 18 or older?

You are right, sometimes they don't have all support groups listed. I hope you find one! Do you get the magazine/newsletter? They usually have a list in the back by state.

Hi Karen,
To find a support group in Alaska, go to the National Alopecia Areata web site. It's www.naaf.org. You should be able to find what you need there!

Hi Karen, I wanted to welcome you to Alopecia World. I can honestly say that we are a great community here and I hope you enjoy the time you spend with us. Also I wanted to mention that if you go to the group section above, there is a Canadian Group that you can join. Cheryl, co-founder
