About Me:
I am a 31 year old mother of 2 wild boys. I have developed alopecia when I was 3. I completly lost all my hair when I was 16. Which was devastating to me at that time in my life. It grew back though within about two years. After I gave birth to second child my hair began falling out again. I now am almost completly bald, and wear a wig anytime I leave the house and almost always until I go to bed at night.

Hi Melea, we are so excited that you are here. There is something about the visual aspect of Alopecia World, seeing other people. We always hear the statistics but it is so different when we start seeing faces. I have had alopecia for over 17 years and have meet many people with alopecia, but this would have to be the first time seeing close to 2000 in one place ;). The information that every member is sharing in invaluable and I can only imagine that for someone who has not met other with alopecia, that this could just about be overwhelming. I lost my hair at 26 and now I am in my early 40's :0, so I know what it is like to have alopecia as an adult. Hang in there with us melea and be sure to share your experience, we ALL have information that is helpful to the next person. Even if it is just tips that are helpful for us. Thanks again for joining and keep in touch.
