I was thinking about you too! I went to Alopecia World and found a message from you! I've been very blessed. My hair continues to grow. For how long, I don't know. I stopped wearing my wig a few weeks ago. My hair is much thinner than it used to be since the underlayer is very short now.
I've been thinking about you a lot? How are you? I'd love to hear how you are doing!
Pam, I am happy to hear about your progress! It sounds like the Plaquenil may be shutting off the autoimmune response to your hair follicles! Just relax and let that beautiful hair grow!
I just got back from a beach trip to Baja Mexico. We have a place down there that we enjoy going to. I am doing well. I am not sure what is exactly happening on my scalp. My original bald spots have regrowth. I have some areas of thinning on the crown of my head. I still have enough hair to wear a ball cap or do a good comb-over. The overall amount of my hair is much less than before this condition began. I am still applying Rogaine nightly. I am tapering off the Prednisone. I should be off it completely on July 4th. I will be glad to be off the Prednisone. It makes me feel strange and flighty at times. I am worried about going back to work on July 1st. (Back to reality). I've really enjoyed my time off (1 month).
Keep me posted on your progress. I am so happy you are seeing positive results so far! Enjoy your summer. Terri
Pam, That is such exciting news! We'll take it!! Anything else new with you? Have you been out riding your horse? Sending you positive energy!!! Keep me updated on your progress!! Terri
