I AM 38 YEARS OLD I HAVE A SON AND I AM HAPPILY ENGAGED TO THE MOST WONDERFUL MAN IN THE WORLD. I HAVE HAD ALPECIA AREATA FOR TWO YEARS NOW. ITS HARD TO DEAL WITH THIS VERY DEPRESSIVE . I TRY HARD NOTTO THINK ABOUT IT. I JUST PRAY FOR SOME DAY TO COME WHERE THEY HAVE A CURE FOR IT. MY FMAILY AND FRIENDS HAVE BEEN SUPPORTIVE ABOUT MY SITUATION, BUT THEY DON'T KNOW THE PAIN I FEEL. IT IS HARD FOR ME TO ACCEPT THIS, WHEN I HAVE A FULL HEAD OF HAIR. NOW IN MY LATE 30'S I HAVE 2 BALD SPOTS ONE ON EACH SIDE OF MY HEAD. I CAN COVER IT WITH SOME OF MY OWN HAIR. i HAVE FAITH THAT SOME DAY THERE WILL BE A CURE.

My son didn't cause my hairloss, I think it was just a huge hormonal change that finally caused it to really hit me full force. But even if it had anything to do with it, my children are so worth it! Yes, you will get use to a wig after awhile, it just becomes part of u and I feel naked without it. (. Take care
I started noticing spots on & off when I was young, but if was very rare and my hair came right back. But after I had my son almost 17 years ago, it all fell out and hasn't come back yet. I deal with it fine since it's been so long now, I just put the wig on and forget about it for the rest of the day. It does and will get easier as time goes by, you just accept it eventually. Don't get me wrong, I still once in awhile can get depressed over this whole thing, but it's not very often and this site is wonderful to just know....you are not alone!!! Love your pics.
