I just moved to NYC 3 months ago from Australia. My alopecia started in June 2016. This is the first time I have had it. It started with a small patch. Now I have large areas of scalp showing and I am trying to accept that it might be time to shave it and get a wig. I had one round of cortisone injections but decided it wasn't for me. I have been doing acupuncture, changed my diet to gluten free and cut out caffeine. I am trying to exercise and destress as much as I can.
Would love to meet any people in NYC that I can talk to. I don't have many friends in NYC and many do not understand what I am going through. It would be great to have advice as to where to go to buy a wig in NYC. Thanks
