While diving in Little Cayman in February 2009, we had an amazing encounter with a friendly Nassau Grouper. The diver in the video is my husband. The two photos at the end show me with my video camera.

OMG, This is too cool, totally amazing. How did Mr. Grouper feel, like a dolphin? He was not camera shy at all, I'm ready for my close-up, here I am. I too will never be able to eat Grouper again after seeing this. It's just AMAZING & so BEAUTIFUL.

Glad you liked it. Mr. (or, Ms.) Grouper felt smooth and silky, not slimy at all. I really can't eat grouper any more. There was a real sense of communication when I swam alongside and looked in its eye - much more "presence" than I would have expected in a fish.

p.s. scuba diving without hair was SO much easier than with. The wetsuit went on and over my head with no catching, I had no loose hair sticking out or tangling in my mask strap, and after the dive, I was dry in moments while the other people had dripping hair to deal with.

This and other photos from the dive trip are here:

Are there any other divers on AW?
