I can relate to putting on my wig when someone comes to the door. I'm 75 now and have AU since I was 39. I can't remember my own hair! Fortunately I didn't have it as a child although I had other autoimmune conditions. At least my alopecia doesn't give me any physical pain anymore although it did for a few years. Thanks for going public like this, you are a strong woman.
