Have any of you used the wig gripper before? It's the stretchy thing that goes around your head to hold wigs and wraps. If so how does/did it work for you?

Living in with Alopecia has it's good and bad days. For me, it's mostly good thank God. Today and probably the last few days though, I have really been missing my hair. :( I always try to stay positive about it and normally it doesn't bother me idk what's going on.
I just feel like crying about it. I feel like complaining about it. Wigs have seemed extra itchy and hot lately. They can get expensive and I can't always afford them. I sweat in my head mainly and am outside fairly often…

For those of you who have significant others, I was wondering how did you tell them you had alopecia, how long did you wait, and what was their reaction? Thanks in advance :)

Was just reading in Womens Health Mag about a girl who has alopecia who used a squaric acid treatment on her scalp and it grew her hair back. It didn't grow back as thick as it once was but it did come back.
I did a little online research and the treament is most effective on patients who have areata as apposed to totalis and universalis. I have totalis but was still considering it. Would or have any of you ever tried this treatment? If so how did it work for you?
Hi Marieca! To answer your question, I met my fiance prior to developing alopecia. He has been here through all my ups and downs and witnessed the different changes that I went through. It is very important to have a REAL support system. I do want to say one thing and that to not allow alopecia to change your social or love life. Be upfront and remember to be yourself. I've learned that being myself is what attracts the right people who really loves me for me and not my hair.
