Hi Barbi,
You should give another Follea represenitive a call. There are over 20 reps all over the USA.
What state do you live? Or if you have questions call me at 850-712-3369.

Hi
I haven't become involved with this discussion because I feel people's opinions are valid for themselves and those that read a thread, but I also know a little more about Freedom Wigs than most people here.
Heat and Freedom is always a subject that many people talk about. In my opinion and from the people that I help with this option including my own daughter heat has never been an issue. She has been wearing freedom wigs for 10 years in every season including very hot summers where we live.
The features and benefits of a Freedom Wig are really second to none.
Security is exceptional as a Freedom wig is fully customised to fit the owner and only the owner. These wigs are designed for those with long term extensive hairloss. If your hair comes back you will need to take it away (shave it) until you are ready to stop wearing your wig and try your biological hair once again. My daughter has grown her hair back 5 times in the last 10 years...in most instances when she regrows her hair it is never cosmetically viable for her to wear in public, she prefers to shave her head and wear her Freedom.
The hair used in a Freedom Wig is always 100% unprocessed virgin human hair. This hair is strong beautiful and durable. This means with the other technologies employed by Freedom around the cap and construction methods this type of hair adds to longevity, beauty and versatility of style.
Cap type. There are differing cap choices you can make with Freedom, but the latest is a water vapour permeable cap which is extremely comfortable for the wearer. This is the Blurb for the Cap:
These All new Silicone wigs have no other adhesives - the cap is medical-grade silicone reinforced with mesh. The silicone is strong a very durable. The softness of the new silicone creates great security. It is moisture/vapour permeable, so it lets the water vapour passing through our skin (which is most of the perspiration) pass through the cap. It's waterproof, but vapour permeable making it more comfortable in hot conditions. (This means that we can wash the interior without wetting our hair and when we do sweat our hair remains dry! It's really the best of both worlds.
Hair attachment method is exclusive to Freedom. The hair in a Freedom wig will not shed. It is secure and absolutely lifelike no matter where you part the hair. You can achieve updo's, ponytails etc without an issue.
For my daughter it has been a life changing choice to wear Freedom Wigs, one which I feel very passionate about. The difference it made to her life is far reaching and continues to this day.
I hope my opinion and the information I have here helps others.

Ok, maybe this is a stupid question, but after having read a lot on here, it sounds like (obviously) virgin human hair is the way to go, if you can afford it. I read one other rep state that blond virgin hair is not available, is this true, and if so, how does it work if you want a blond Freedom Wig?
Thanks in advance!
Yes, you can get blonde virgin hair, but it just takes longer to get.
I get my wigs from Brenda Kay. Less expensive than Freedom Wigs, but I don't need the suction thing. I get beautiful wigs for a little over $3K and she guarantees them...I'll give you contact info if you are interested.

Thank you! And I would love the contact info.
Hi Becca,
Question for you, how long have you had your hair system (wig)?
I'm a hairstylist and a custom systems specialist, the hair on your system should last for more than one year before it needs repairing. At the same time, it all depend on how much is being done to the hair. Heat styling and chemical processing will weaken the integrity of the hair causing it to shed or get dry. It is very important you use the right products...heat protector, protein treatments, moisture treatment. My clients try to come and see me at least once per month for me to shampoo and treat the hair. If the system is shedding and needs repairing it cost $50 per hour and this amount includes the hair.
Btw - I'm in Toronto Canada

I added you as a friend I would like to know where in Toronto you are. I am wearing wig and is good to know some one in Toronto for reaper and wash, before I had some one but she screw up my wig and I had to buy another one. thanks
Hi Becca, I've spent many thousands of dollars on wigs since I lost my hair to Chemo 6 years ago. I've tried to find the 'perfect wig'. It does not exist but what I've learned I will share with you. Brenda Kays' lace cap is the most comfortable I've found. She is a wizard with hair. The only fault I found was the texture of the hair. It was much coarser than I like. I've found the hair quality in the Freedom and iWig to be closest to what i feel comfortable working with and feeling on my head. So for what it's worth you just need to do your research and be certain you know what you want and make sure you get it. It's definitely been a learning experience. I did not feel the Folia wigs were worth the money since they aren't fitted for your individual head. Not always positive. Good luck.
