Where are you on the triangle? (Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs)

We are needy or secure in different ways. I think if you research Maslow's theory and relate it to AW contributors, you can see that many who have basic needs met (by self, parents or spouse) have the time and mental freedom to obsess about hair loss and self-esteem. Those with basic needs not being met, or those who have risen to the top of Maslow's pyramid, seem to concentrate on other subjects here...for better or for worse. Sorry you didn't get the job! So frustrating! What was this guy looking for I wonder if none of the people he interviewed were hired. good grief.

TG reread the attachment - what do you think of the criticism at the end of the article? I found them as interesting a read as maslow's theory itself

I agree that this pyramid would fit Americans and those who value individualism above societal or religious groups. I also think some societies and faith communities would step in soon and not LET a person become impovershed or homeless.
