Advice. Recently discovered bald patches

I just discovered six bold patches, two of which are quite large but can be covered over with my hair. I have an appointment with a dermotologist in a few weeks; yet, the patches seem to be getting bigger by the day. I have yet to receive a diagnosis, though my blood work is fine. So, how do I deal with this in the meantime?

You are doing the right thing by visiting the doctor to rule out any other condition going on in your body. Unfortunately, there is little you can do but get injections to help stop the hair loss. When my daughter developed AA I knew she was going to ask to wear a wig and I moved fast to learn much about them. I believe in being proactive vs reactive. Learn as much as you can about this condition so you are empowered. Talk to your family and friends for their support. This is not life threating but it may require you adjustments in your life.
