Hi.
Here's hoping it's a Christmas miracle! - It's great to hear that your son is doing good at kindergarten. This positive start should help him greatly & if he's confident, he's very unlikely to be bullied. All the best to you all & a merry Christmas. - Skin.
thanks for the positive thoughts they are very much appricated hope you have a great christmas also
Sounds promising! Almost all regrowth begins white and then regains color as it grows out. My son lost almost all of his hair before kindergarten, but had a wonderful teacher and allowed us to do a newsletter home to all parents to "educate" everyone and used the NAAF school pack info to help the kids understand. He did great -- and I was so pleased with everyone -- there are always a few who have to tease, but? He had full regrowth and no patches until the end of 4th grade -- by the beginning of 5th grade he had lost all of his body hair -- alopecia Universalis. I worried that this older group would be harder -- especially younger kids or kids at baseball who did not know him. So, I asked our local newspaper to do a "human interest" story. They did a full page story with a small front page intro -- my son was on cloud nine -- and really seemed to take ownership of his uniquness! He is sooooooo awesome -- he makes me so proud. There are still tough days -- but GOD graced this child with a beautiful heart and mind -- and I treasure him every day!

Hang in there!
alright im gunna be 100% honest and kinda straight shoot to yea here, i grew my hair back after the first time it fell out, and the way it started was lil white hairs! now i have seen cases on this website that people have gotten some back lik just a little and had it fall out again. but mine grew back, but is falling out again but i had a good 2 year run and hopefully your kid will have a good 100year run! its so much better when the kids know about it at a young age so they can just get used to it ya know and then kindy kids are normally not that mean, good luck to you in the future!
Hi I honestly hope that it is regrowth and that he continues with growth. Just wondering if you have ever thought about home schooling? There are classes that you can take and materials online for teaching.

Hi There,

My Son Owen has had aa since he was two. I started using calosol on him in Jan 08 and he had pretty much 90% regrowth which was lovely. Then when he started in Nursery in Sept last year we got patches again. Now he has about 50% loss. But we have the little white fluff coming back...we are still using calosol twice a day. If I am honest I don't think owen will keep his hair even after this regrowth. The alopecia is so agressive in little ones that I feel we have to come to terms with it now. I am struggling with it big time. But Owen has to be the way God has designed him to be, and not just the way the world wants him to look. Take-care......We are all with you.
Hi i know how difficult it is we have had some positive remarks as well as the bad ones .One of the replies to us was see if your school will put out anews letter expaining about alopecia and if they want to speak to you then do so but stop making you feel uncomfortable .
