I totally hear you!!

It's all about matching up how you feel on the inside with how your present yourself on the outside. Your ponytail hat may be just the thing to bring an enormous smile and confidence to your step. The following day you may feel more like a scarf, the next your wig. Whatever makes you feel comfortable and good is what you should be doing....Frivilous or not.... who cares as long as you are smiling!

I hear all the insecurities! I go around with my straggly hair everyday, or wearing a baseball cap, and I don't know who I have become anymore. I wish I had the confidence to not care who was looking, who was talking about me, making comments, rolling their eyes, and not care what they thought. To wear different wigs every day, whenever I wanted, would be so nice. I feel better about myself with more hair. I wish I had the confidence to wear them to work, and not care about the gossipping and looks. Being a caucasian, it is truly difficult. Being a black woman, the whole culture just accepts wigs, weaves, doo rags, shaved heads, - anything goes. And their "hair" is so much cheaper to buy!!!
