I live in Canada  and I am just wondering if anyone was able to get their insurance company to cover the cost of the medication and if so, how?? I am currently just paying out of pocket and the cheapest I could find was 1600$/bottle  at Costco.

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

I am not sure medications can be insured

Sounds interesting but to be honest, I have no idea. I’ve never met a case where the insurance company will pay the medication cost. Well, it might happen if you have work insurance while working at a drug store, and accidentally you break a medication, in that case, the company where you have insurance should pay for the medication you broke. Still, it sounds strange because for such cases there is company insurance that will pay for every broken insured thing.

If you have private insurance coverage with a drug plan it does cover a certain percentage of the cost of the medication.  Unfortunately, after several attempts they just would not cover the cost because the drug is being used “off label”.
