AU and Hyperpigmentation after months of using DCP, does it go away?

Hi AU's,

I have AU since 2015 and I have done DCP treatments every week (squaric acid) for 5 months.
Sadly with minimal effect and the right side of scalp is now darker.

I was wondering, are there more people with no hair on scalp who have this (from the peeling of skin every week because of the DCP) and does the darker spot / pigmentation go away?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Gon

Daughter used DCP treatments for about 6 months. Did not work. Her scalp blistered without a single hair showing up. I think Dr. that push this are after your time and money. Sorry to be negative but I have yet to meet someone that this treatment has worked.

I have AU for about a year now and have been going through the Treatments at USF in Tampa for 6mos, seeing results. I have a mixture of white and pigmented hair regrowth. I have only go once a month until I mentioned that I wanted to get treated every other week. my doc says the squaric acid stays in your system for 6-8wks and Let it do its job. We compromised on every three weeks :) I guess we'll see.....
