Hello everyone out there!

I have a few questions concerning wig care. What are the best wig shampoos, conditioners hair spray "rejuvinating" hair products out there? When I got my first wigs the salon gave me shampoo, conditioner and a hair spray. They STANK of perfume. Could anyone tell me if there are and scentless hair care products? Also, what can I do to fix the frayed ends of my wig and can the wig cap be softened(I tried fabric softener). How can some of the shine be taken out of really glossy wigs and how can I get a shine back into wigs that have become dull?

I am also curious. I have synthetic wigs and they are getting really prickly and itchy on the back of the neck. Thanks!

I wear inexpensive long synthetics from Paula Young and wash mine with Suave brand sleek shampoo and then let it soak for about 10 minutes in the sink with the conditioner of the same brand and rinse. The trick to making it smooth on the underside is a 2" curling iron on the damp hair.
I give mine a "once over" everytime I wash it and it lasts a long time.
You need a curling iron that has adjustable temp dial...like from 0-40 say...mine is set on 13...you just take small sections of the hair and pull it through the iron, then roll it up as it steams a bit..unwind it and comb that piece straight if you want or hold the curl as it cools to set it that way.
This trick works great and makes it soft again and the frizzy ends disappear!
feel free to message or e-mail me if you have any questions

Thank you so much! This is great advice, I will try it. I wasn't sure I could use real hair conditioner on synthetic. Good idea on the curling iron too.
