thank you so much ladies! this is super helpful.

So far, I got this new one bonded on friday - the front hairline has held, but the back, i have had to re-attach every other night (im using 30 sec daily hold on the front hairline - which is still holding after 5 days, and 30 sec daily hold on the back with super tape at the nape to keep it attached for the 2 days.) before i reattach the back i have been cleansing my scalp underneath briefly before bonding it back.

I am sleeping in the wig - which is taking some getting used to since i havent had ANY hair on my head for 5 years while i sleep. but the lace wig is so comfortable i dont notice its on, but its long so i have to make sure i put it up every night (and i have my satin pillowcase and do-rag as well)

Right now i am thinking i will bond for about a week at a time and wash at the end of the week. for now i will do the sink washing (and i ordered knot sealer as well to make sure the lace is taken care of).

oh and i have heard that you should condition the hair in some way every day since the human hair dries out easily. I have purchased Redken Extreme (suggested by one of my lovely indian friends on the best shampoo for their type of hair - redken and the fact that for wigs you use whatever is for damaged hair) shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner - i plan on spraying the leave in every other day.... to keep the ends supple.

for now i wear a shower cap in the shower. Now i have a 16 in wig - that should dry overnight easily right? I amthinking i might have to invest in another one so i can alternate between the two when i wash them.

Does that sounds like a good regimen?

and i have a Indian Virgin Remy (or cuticle) 16 inch full lace wig. so i shouldnt have to worry about the processed part - it better be virgin hair after what i paid!

it really depends on how many times a week you wear it. what i was told was every 7 wears

and what i do is i fill up a sink with water and i pour shampoo in and wash my wig in it. then i drain the sink and rinse off the wig and spray the condition on it and let it dry.
its a nice simple way, and doesnt take that long.

Hello, I personally have two type of wigs I wear a all lace wig and a glue free lace wig. The glue free lace wigs does not need glue so you can remove it and wash it as necessary. If you glue your lace wig to your head you can was in the shower, just be careful not to tangle and use a good conditioner. I never wash my wig on my head I alwaye wash at night in mt bathroom sink condition, towel dry and then hang to air dry. You also should not need to wash your wig more than once a week unless you use a lot of hair product. I myself do not use much if any hair products on any of my lace wigs. thanks everyone for all the tips - i finished washing my hair and conditioning it, and im about to try my first SOLO application with the glue. hopefully i dont muck it up too much! :)
