Hey,

So i asked this in my blog already, but just wanted to see if i could get a wider audience (i really would appreciate an informative reply).

My dermatologist says it's okay for me to dye my hair, but i'm still nervous about it.
I was wondering if anyone with AA has experiences with dying hair?

Or should i just stay away from it altogether?

My dermatologist said that salon semi-permanent hair coloring is the only way to go - if I have to do it.

I have TE and FPB - my derm said just to do a patch test first, 24 hours in advance, if no reaction then perm dye is fine - it will not make the hair fall out any faster than it would have.

I had 9 patches of hair loss after dying my hair, thought it was related so refused to touch hair dye again. Then decided to just go for it...I have since coloured my hair twice, once brown, and another time blonde highlights, and neither times have caused more hair loss, in fact my patches have grown back in apart from one.xx
