Ok this AA has gone to freakn far! I noticed "empty" spots on one eye earlier and didn't think much about it. Today I have eyelashes on only one eye and no dang eyebrows one either eye. I can deal with the shaved head but come on now no eyebrows nor eyelashes. I am sitting having a pity party and yes crying! I can't talk to anyone because nobody around this place understands this whole dang process.

Just wanna scream!!!!!!

This was definately the hardest part for my daughter. We had her eyebrows tattoo'd and it made a huge difference both in time and look. The lashes, she has become a pro at putting them on. After trying expensive ones Ardell work the best for her. She said she can live without the hair but really would love to have her lashes back. She is regrowing now and has her right upper lashes but only a few on her left side. It has been over a year. Don't give up, take time to cry and then get back up. It does get better with time.
I know the feeling. I had now got 2/3 of my eyelashes missing and my eyebrows are nearly totally gone. I feel like I am grieving the loss all over again. Right now trying to work out if I can master the art of flase eyelashes. Had one horrendous attempt. Also draw in my eyebrows with eyebrow pencil and they are rubbing off a bit through the day. I am am with you - it isn't funny!
My daughter kept rubbing hers off in the middle of the day which is why she went with the tattoos. They are growing back and the tattoos are nice fillers.
Thank you guys for allowing me to vent, ya'll(Texan) are the best. I did get some false eyelashes yesterday. After a good cry/laugh from tyring to put the full lashes on, I finally settled with the ones that you just put in the corners of the lids which works out pretty good because I can put those on pretty quickly. If ain't one thing it's another...oh well gotta keep it moving. It's a good thing we Alopecians are some creative people.........
Hey Barbara, I went through the exact same thing recently. I can cope with the hair loss - wigs can cover that. But I love my eyes. I wake up every morning, bald as anything, and look into my eyes and say "gee that's beautiful". So, after my very own pity party and tears - after all the lashes and eyebrows fell out - I found a really qualified and lovely "permanent tattoo" specialist. I now have my eyebrows tattoed on, and after my eyelashes fell out, I got my upper and lower lids tattooed as well. A bit expensive, but it should last about 5 years I hope. Helped heaps with my self-esteem. I don't have to worry about the eyeliner rubbing off, or accidentally wiping off my "drawn on" eyebrows. The other day, I couldn't believe it. I actually got out of bed, got dressed, wig on and walked out the door. Completely forgot to put on ANY make up at all. Love it! The eyes hurt just a little bit, more uncomfortable than actually hurting, but it's totally worth it. Please make sure you have someone that's really qualified do it for you. Lots of backyard jobs going around, but this is so important to have it looking beautiful. It cost me about $1,000 Australian for the eyes, and $500 AUS for the eyebrows. But I've accepted that alopecia is going to cost me money to get on in life. It could be a heap worse. I believe that electric wheelchairs cost a fortune! At least I still have my legs (hairless and silky smooth!). I hope this helps. I was so upset and sad for ages about losing my eyelashes. I felt like a freak, and yes - no one else understands. So just do this for yourself. Take control of this alopecia and do the best that you can. The other option to add to your tattooed eyes is false eyelashes for those special occasions. I couldn't be bothered doing it every day, but for special nights - why not try it. Once I got used to seeing my outlined eyes in the mirror - me and everyone else got used to it, and I get lots of compliments now. Yes - we are very very beautiful. We just need a little more help than others sometimes. And it's worth it.

P.S. Can recommend screaming in the car, when you're driving down the highway and no one can hear you.
You are joining the biggest group of women..I think we can all cope with having no hair - at some point but the eyelashes - now that reallly sucks. I also got my eyeliner and eyebrows tattooed - LOVE them ... I got the freedom wig - LOVE it and now - the only thing I still need to Cope with is putting false eyelashes on...
You are going to be okay with all of this - a good cry does wonders for everyone gorgeous girl....
Glad to hear good things about the Freedom wig. After 4 years of the nylon type ones, I've saved up enough for my $5,000 Freedom Wig. I've paid half - should get it in about 4 months they reckon. Can't wait - everyone says they're great. Anyone have any tips for how to cope in the heat? I'm a real sweater - especially on my head! Go figure. Thanks.
I get really hot on the head too - I just keep a pack of organic wipes in my purse to wipe my head once in a while...You will LOVE this hair - it's gorgeous and I feel prettier with it than I did when I HAD hair ... every one of my friends is jealous... Got bangs cut into it and thinned it out ALOT as it was wayyy too much for me but boy - I just adore it.
Como eu te entendo...
You are so right. My daughter wears false eyelashes and had to get really great with makeup. Her wigs are beautiful and when she goes out people stare at her because she is gorgeous not out of pity. Life is what you make of it.
have any of your that have had your brows tatooed had them done in the Southern part of the US? I'm looking for someone good! I live in NC!
