Hi
I been suffering from hairloss for over a year and recently started wearing wigs.
I have been getting from red bumps on my scalp recently which are also sore. could this be from wearing wigs? and if so does anyone know how to treat it and stop it from occuring again? I have been scratching my head a bit too, which I am sure does not help.
I was googling and I think it could be folliculitis?
has anyone had this issue and how do you treat it
help!!!!

Hi there Jennah :-) Do you wear a wig cap under your wig? I have seen that some people wear soft cotton wig caps underneath. Leave the wig off as much as possible to let it heal, you could go buy an Aloe Vera plant and break the leaves... the gel is soothing and very healing, put it on your head at night or when you're not going out. If not, you could get some neosporin or antibacterial ointment to help, rub your skin. Another thought is to start taking a pro-biotic, it will help with overall skin health. Something I just started doing is adding baking soda to my shampoo (chemical free shampoo) making a paste in my hand... rubbing it into my scalp and letting it sit in the shower. This helps balance the ph on your scalp to make it an unfriendly environment for bacteria to thrive in. It has helped my scalp condition a bit... no bumps since. Good luck to you! This is awful, I know. -Sarah
Aww thanks sarah I will definitely try those things I don't think we have neosporin in NZ what is that? I am guessing it is a type of antibacterial ointment. hmm hadn't thought of a pro-biotic I think I will look into that.
Someone also mentioned Nizoral shampoo has anyone tried this?
