Any recommendations on the different hair filling fibers to help mask smaller thinning areas. I've visited a few sites and read the pros and cons. Just so confusing on which product to trust. Most of my alopecia is on the bottom portion and sides of my head that I am still able to keep it from showing with the upper hair on my crown. I have thin spots on my crown and bangs that come and go. I know that I can't do too much underneath but trying to preserve what I have on top. Thanks for any recommendations

Hiya, my alopecia sounds very similar to yours. Im relatively new to all this but Iv used toppik and thikker and does make it lots easier to hide spots. U can get tiny little pots to put in your bag too just incase u need to pop a bit on during the day. Iv found the different fibres to all be pretty similar its just hard to get the colour right. Iv tried loads of different colours before I found the best one for me. Good luck! Xx

Thank you. Any little bit helps!

My mom sometimes uses the Viviscal hair fibers, but she doesn't have alopecia - she just has mature hair as she is in her late 50s, with some old age thinning. It works for her but she only ever uses it when she is going to parties or special events, because she finds it a hassle - it looks great, but it sheds a bit, and it is expensive for what it is. Having seen her with it, it works.

I have used Toppik with my daughter and it covered well.

I used toppiks before I lost it all, like you mine was all in the lower parts and sides I hid it pretty well before I started getting spots on top. The toppiks worked really well, judging by your photo I would try the medium brown, my hair was a golden brown and it worked well for me, really thickens it up. In my opinion the spray thickener was awful.

We use Biothik Hair Fibers and have found it to be very good.  It's actually quite surprising how good they are.
