Does anyone have regrowth using Otezla?
Tags:
I have been on Otezla for over 6 months. I have scarring hair loss alopecia with lichen planopilaris so there can be no regrowth where I lost hair, but I have been told that my inflammation is down. Getting this drug to be covered by insurance took 6 months, it is crazy expensive. I hope it is working but inflammation still exists, just minimal. I will report back in 6 more months! Wish me luck! I have tried everything and I hope this is it.
Otezla has a lot of side effects and is not an easy pill to be on, but I hope it continues to keep the inflammation down so there is no new hair loss.
I just started 3 weeks ago. I'll give an update in another month or so, since from what I read it takes about 12 weeks before you see real results.
Has anyone in Otezla had a rash as a side effect???
Its been a rough start on the Otezla. About the 2nd weeks of taking it I started to get a rash on my arm, legs and stomach. Almost like hives. Not severe but just irritating itch. Finally found out Benadryl cream works well at calming the itch. Sort of funny since Otezla is used to treat psoriasis. At the same time I had the flu with a 103.9 fever, not sure that contributed to the rash or not.
