I went to a dermatologist two years ago to find out why I was losing hair and it turned out that I have AGA. She prescribed me Rogaine but it didn't work for me unfortunately so I stopped using it. Now I took a shower and saw that the hair loss has spread to my right side COMPLETELY. I mean my right side has completely gotten worse. On the other hand, I looked at my left side and it was fine! It's thin but not so as really bad as my right side.

I'm doubting it's AGA....my dermatologist never performed a skin biopsy so the diagnosis was visual. Has this happened to anyone?

I also have AGA, and I have bald patches above both of my ears. A dermatologist confirmed my AGA diagnosis by a double biopsy. The baldness on top of my head isn't even. I recommend getting the biopsies if you can to help with the diagnosis. It wasn't painful; I was sore for a few days at the site. Hope this information helps.
