I like my current wig so much I bought an identical one, but when it arrived it was a slightly different length, about an in inch and a half shorter, with more bangs.

The same thing happened when I bought identical long-haired wigs. The first one was perfect (except the color was too light.) When I bought the same style in a different color, this one had more bangs and A LOT more hair, and I could never get it thinned and cut quite right.

It's so frustrating to finally find the "perfect" wig, only to find it is not duplicatable, even when you order the same exact style/brand from the same company! This is a Louis Ferre synthetic wig, in the Linda and Jennifer styles.

Is it just this particular brand, or has this happened with other wig companies?

Hi Aimee, I have had the same problem. I have identical wigs that look different - I think I am the only one that really notices though. Plus people will just think that your hair has grown out :-)
I like the Raquel Welch wigs with the mono top - I have had pretty good luck with them.
I just wanted to say I don't know a heap about the type of wigs you are getting but I do agree with Petra a little change may be actually quite a good thing. People change there hair often, therefor a wee change would look good from the outside world (like your've mixed it up a little and had a trim etc.) I do also understand often the last thing someone with alopecia wants is attention bought to them so they have to go through the whole story once again or if they are preferring to be annonymous. It's another one of those challenges that alopecia brings. Wig or no wig always the challenges are there.

Hope you get to enjoy all your wigs and feel comfortable in them all soon.

Hi Aimee, yes this has happened to me too. Sometimes it's a happy accident others not. If you don't like the length you should send it back. I guess you could have the bangs cut but once it's cut and if you don't like it you can't send it back. What website did you order it from? Those wigs are beautiful, maybe you can go on line and find out where there is a retailer that sells them so if it happens again they can deal with the returning. Good luck! :) Margaret Staib
Oh, welcome to the world of wigs. Irritating, isn't it? Sorry but I have found this issue happens with every wig company I've tried (Louis Ferre, Noriko, Amore, Paula Young, Revlon, Raquel Welch, Alan Thomas) . I just remind myself when I had hair, I seldom found a stylist who would cut my hair the same way twice.
Hi Aimee, I guess this is what I'll experience when I order my back-up. This is too bad, but I see many experience the same thing, so maybe I'll be more forgiving. Thanks Aimee for posting.
I really like Jon Renau monotop wigs they are nice
i bought two of the same from Jon Renau and i dont see a difference if they have one i dont see it and no one else does either ... i wouldnt worry about it too much people wont really notice
