I spoke out to kids yesterday about everyone is differant.I had the pride to take off my wig off and told them I have Alopecia. Some had questions that were very nice.A little boy did ask if i was teased and picked on which I said yes at first.I did tell them not to pick on,tease or judge anyone which is wrong.I did tell them I have husband AJ that loves me saying I still look beautiful without hair. They did clap when he came out knowing he sees me as a person.I had fun and had pictures taken with some of the kids even without my wig on.

Plus there was one girl that was glad she was not alone, her name is Brianna and says I am a role model to her including her parents. She has Alopecia too and we had a picture taken without our wigs on by her father
Wow that is just so great. Kids need to see these types of things how else will they know. Healthy questions from children are how they grow and begin to understand the world around them. On one is perfect whatever that is anyway. Now these kids know about alopecia how lucky for them.

Congrat you did a fine job I am very proud of you.

Thank you
Eileen

This is so wonderful. I can't even imagine how much this would have meant to me when I was a little girl. You have a lot of courage.
