If I am experiencing hairloss can I still go on the pill?

I have been experiencing hairloss for around a year.

I have been on the pill previously for about six months a few years ago.

As I am experiencing hairloss is it safe for me to go on the pill, or is it likely it will cause even more shedding to occur?

The Drs. say the pill will not cause hairloss but it did with my daughter. She had about 3/4 of her hair growing back from methyltrexate and lost all of her hair again when she took the pill within 4 weeks. Her hair growth was not doing her any good since she still had to wear a wig but I believe the change in hormones caused her hair to fall out again.

I found that it all depended on what pill i was taking i was on the normal pill where you take it for 21 days and then have the 7 day break, i found that more hair was falling out so i went back to the doctors and asked to be put on the mini pill which touch wood has helpe, more hair wasnt falling out and i even stated getting regrowth. It may be different for you but it worked for me xx
