I just recently purchased my first lacefront and it was so annoying and long. I paid about 350 for it and took it off three days later. It is so hard for me to adjust to wearing wigs I cannot take off at night. I do not have the courage to be bald but I cannot stand wearing fake hair. This is such a big adjust for me and if anyone has any advice for me I will take it. I find it hard to accept that I have alopecia when I am wearing fake hair.

The first time that my daughter wore a wig she got a headache and could not wait to take it off. Now she cannot be without them. She feels undressed without it. This takes time to come to terms with the loss and to get use to it. I am sorry that you are going through this but wearing the wig will feel more natural with time.

Tyla, I wear full lace and lace fronts all the time and I take them off at night. I use only "Got ToBe Glued" spiking creme as an adhesive, and they stay put through hours of sweaty ballroom dance practice. I order my hair an online vendor who makes them to my tiny alopecian head measurements. I think the custom sizing is key to comfort. They cost an average of $200 each for custom-sized, Virgin Indian, Brazilian, or Malaysian Remy at lengths of 12-14". They do come come unstyled. I bought a CREA Clip and cut/style them myself, but when I get one that I really love and wear a lot, I take it to a stylist. If you want a shorter layered style, taking it to a stylist is the way to go. Don't give up!

I use both the Got2Be Glued spiking glue (which is a white cream) for a strong hold and the Invincible styling gel (clear gel) around the face, when I want a nice bond to pull the hair back. If you are going to perspire, though, the spiking glue will continue to hold, where the styling gel will mix with perspiration and sort of slide down your face, which can be annoying!
