Hi,

I placed an order on the website you mentioned and now cant get a hold of them to modify an order=(( they dont reply BUT took the payment...seems like all these wig places have veryyy poor customer service, especially after you pay them =(( so sad

Just a quick note on this ... seems to me AlexMecer is a rep for prettywighair.com.  All of his/her posts related to any number of subjects are referencing this online wig shop.

Hi Sarah,

My suggestion is the Freedom Wig.  It is a wig that is made with unprocessed European hair, is custom made for the wearer from look to size and is extremely comfortable and secure.  You select the length of hair, density, curl pattern, parting and other qualities to make the hairpiece look the way you want.  There are no adhesives required and you can do any and all activities you feel comfortable doing.  I wear mine swimming, water sliding, skiing, running, for dance...you name it.  This wig helped me regain my confidence that took a beating when I first got my alopecia 7 years ago.  It is the most comfortable hairpiece I have worn too...having worn several different wigs before the discovery of Freedom.

Freedom Wig is pretty much the quality standard for good wigs. There are only a few other brands that can deliver this quality I believe. I read a lot about them in this forum here as well.

I love open hair so i use hair extensions. I have Omgnb Hair Extensions, which are very easy to put and remove and with them i can give so many styles to my hair.

Hi Sarah. I've had alopecia universalis since 1994 and I've tried many, many wigs. My advice is to try different companies and see which one you like best, in terms of quality, service, etc. I bought a Follea last year for $3,000 -- the most I've EVER spent on a wig. I wanted it mainly for the gripper part so I didn't have to use double-sided tape. That part of the wig is great, and the quality of the hair is excellent. However... I am NOT happy with the way the wig is made. It's made like a synthetic wig with short layers of hair on the top, and down to just above the years, and all of the hair in the back of the wig. Because that part of the wig is so short, it lays really flat, and it's very difficult to get the hair to look like it has any volume to it. It also makes it difficult to run a brush through it because of the netting in each layer. It's totally bizarre, and I will never buy another one for this reason, and also because of the expense. Peggy Knight (Follea owner) has alopecia, so you think she would be kind in her pricing, but she isn't. As a matter of fact, Follea wanted to charge me $50 for shipping! I told the representative I worked with that there was no way I was going to pay $50 to ship a hairpiece that weights 2-3 ounces. That's robbery, pure and simple. The representative had the piece mailed to her and I picked it up at her house (it cost nothing to do that). So in a nutshell, I would say that Follea wigs are a complete rip-off, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone for the reasons above. My next wig is going to be $2,200 for European hair. I don't have the name of it with me at work, but I can get that to you if you email me on my private email (let me know). I can also send you a photo of the way it's constructed. Just a note to warn that the catch phrase in selling wigs is now "European Quality" meaning it is not European, it just looks like it is. Many companies are now marketing this term, but the hair is in fact processed and poor quality.

For several years the companies used the term "Remy" to describe good quality, everyone caught onto that and now they use "European" to catch those that are not experienced in this business. 

I hate this kind of marketing in my business, to me it just makes legitimate vendors like myself look bad. Please be very careful, the companies with the best marketing do not always have the best products.
