Ok, so we now have semi-permanant make up, therefore our eyebrows can look natural, we can, if we so choose, to have out eyeliner done. So when will somebody design a semi-permanant glue and eyelashes????? I miss these terribly, cant get on with stick on ones, as I wear glasses and as soon as I take them off I can not see anything, and it is impossible to do anything with a flat spider with glue on.
So come on USA, design something for us alopecians, and maybe in 10yrs time we in the UK may get some.

will the eyelashes grow for alopecia totallis patient ? hw much possiblity there ?
I have AU so I think it would be good if we could go and have them "fitted" and they lasted 4/6 moths. Then you go back and have them removed and "refitted". Just need somebody to invent them non lol :-)
I know a make up artist in Boston, Massachusetts who teaches people with blindness and and other disabilities how to do their own make-up. I've watched him put on fake lashes ( on himself) completely by feel. A lot of practice I guess.

A few ideas come to mind:
There are make-up glasses sold in the US that are hinged so you can lower one lens at a time out of the way.
While a full strip of lashes looks great, you can still ( depending on the shape of your eyes) put lashes only on the outer third and still make a difference. With practice you might be able to put that on without looking in a mirror.
If you can do liner without your glasses, try gel liner from Bobbi Brown cosmetics. It has thickness so put on the edge of the lid where the lashes grow from you can fake the appearance of lashes coming out.
For appearance, a little liner combined with a neutral eyeshadow on the lid goes a long way to make eyes look less bare.

The biggest challenge to a semi-permanent lash I see is the potential for the growth of bacteria.Sight over beauty.

Yes but its nice to dream, that a blob of glue and a few bits of hair, would give me back my eyes. lol
