It is over five months ago that my hair fell out within a period of two weeks. My husband and I went overseas for a month to Thailand Vietnam and Hong Kong for a month.
Because the weather was so hot I decided not to wear my wig and just go bald. I felt amazing.
We were with a tour for two weeks in Vietnam with 12 other people and I felt really good and not at all embarassed.
Well over the month my hair started to grow back and by the time we arrived home I had good hair growth on the top and sides of my hair. Not so much on the back but it is starting to grow still quite patchy but hey it is hair. I had always coloured my hair and now my natural colour is white and grey. Everyone says it looks great so I have decided this is the real me . My profile photo was taken with me holding a dear little boy from an orphanage we visited in Hue Vietnam . He had been left at their door two weeks before it was so sad and all I wanted was to take the babies home. Vietnam is an amazing country to visit we just loved it. if you like I will add some photos .
Anyway just wanted share my good news lets hope it just keeps growing and growing .....

My specialist gave me a few cortisone injections into the bald parts yesterday so i will wait and see. your daugher looks beautiful with her wig they cerainly look so much better than synthetic ones
How wonderful, a great holiday, and hair to boot. Maybe it was the lack of stress, and change of air !
I just felt I wanted to share a positive story because when i was first diagnosed all I wanted to read was that yes your hair can grow back !!! that maybe this wasn't going to be permanent. i know it is early days but I will just live in the moment no one knows what is arround the corner Alopecia is certainly an unpredictable condition .
